According to Priya, the accuser went out clubbing, got intoxicated, and sent Jonathan irate messages accusing him of cheating. Hold on to your capes, Marvel fans, because the saga of Jonathan Majors' future as Kang the Conqueror just got a lot more complicated.

Despite rumors that the studio would stand by the embattled actor after his recent arrest on assault charges, there are new developments that could change everything.

With a court appearance scheduled for May 8th on domestic violence charges, insiders are now revealing that several more women have stepped forward with allegations of abuse and are working with the Manhattan district attorney's office, according to Variety.

"This story is baseless and without any foundation," Chaudhry told The Times via email. "Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone. Mr. Majors is currently considering his legal options."

The potential for additional accusers to come forward is sure to add fuel to the fire, especially considering that Jonathan’s publicists and management firm have already distanced themselves from the scandal-plagued actor earlier this week.

On March 25th, Jonathan Majors, 33, found himself in hot water after being arrested in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment. He was officially charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment on March 27th.

In the complaint, the alleged victim, who is a 30-year-old woman, said the "Lovecraft Country” star struck her "about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear,” which resulted in her going to a local hospital to get checked.

Jonathan’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, came out swinging with a vehement response, claiming that her client was, in fact, the victim of an altercation with the woman and implying that she was in the midst of an emotional breakdown.

In a letter to the court that was submitted on Tuesday, accepted on Wednesday, and reviewed by The Times, Priya challenged Asst. D.A. Kelli Galaway's request for a later court date, providing evidence she claimed had already been submitted for review. The evidence in question is said to depict the actor’s accuser appearing unharmed mere hours after the alleged altercation. Clearly, Priya is determined to prove her client's innocence and is pulling out all the stops to defend him in court since those text messages she released didn't seem to help his case.

TMZ obtained video stills from security-camera footage, which you can check out below:

The accuser was seen at the bar, DJ booth, and hostess stand of Loosie's Nightclub at the Moxy Lower East Side hotel between 1:55 a.m. and 3:06 a.m. March 25.

In the recent filing, Priya alleges that the accuser, who allegedly attacked her client and tore his clothes between midnight and 1 a.m. on March 25th, engaged in a series of troubling actions afterward. According to Priya, the accuser went out clubbing, got intoxicated, and sent Jonathan irate messages accusing him of cheating. She then allegedly sent a suicide note to the actor, consumed sleeping pills, and was eventually discovered unconscious on the floor of a locked closet with a cut behind her ear and a broken finger - a full 11 hours after the alleged altercation.

“Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone. We have provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated,” said Jonathan’s attorney Priya Chaudhry in a statement.

Priya also cites an $800 champagne purchase during that time that the accuser allegedly charged to the actor’s credit card without permission.

The Times reports:

Priya Chaudhry told the court that the driver of a car, where the two allegedly fought, would testify that it was the accuser who attacked Majors that night, begged him to get back in the car after he got out, then resumed violent attempts to take Majors' phone away. Chaudhry said this happened between midnight and 1 a.m.

According to Chaudhry, Majors again jumped out of the car and ran away — witnessed by "the driver and three people standing in the street" — then hailed a taxi and went to a hotel. The letter says he didn't see the accuser again until after 11 a.m., when he returned home and called a handyman to unlock his bedroom door. Once inside, the letter says, Majors found the woman unconscious on the floor of the closet.

Chaudhry wrote to the court that "we are hopeful that the District Attorney's Office will move quickly to dismiss this case."

Following the alleged attack, the Marvel star was dropped by his management and PR firm earlier this week and the U.S. Army pulled his commercials for their "Be All You Can Be" ad campaign.

Now, he has reportedly been dropped from a slew of projects, including a feature adaptation of The Man in My Basement, an ad campaign for the Texas Rangers MLB team (which was set to launch this Friday), and an unannounced Otis Redding biopic. As of the time of this post, he’s still being represented by WME.

According to a report by Variety, the alleged victim in the New York incident had some involvement in the production of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It's worth noting that this film marked Jonathan's first substantial appearance as Kang, the character who is expected to cause trouble for a fresh squad of Earth's Mightiest Heroes when Avengers: The Kang Dynasty hits theaters in 2025.

He is set to reprise his role as one of Kang's many variants in the upcoming season of Loki on Disney+ later this year, before his anticipated appearance in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which is set to begin production next spring.

While Disney has some time to make a decision on Jonathan’s future with the company, it's unclear if he has already filmed cameos for upcoming projects such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 or The Marvels.

The connection between the alleged victim and the Marvel Cinematic Universe adds an extra layer of intrigue to an already complicated situation, and it remains to be seen how this development might impact the actor’s future in the franchise.

Will Marvel finally be forced to reckon with the controversy surrounding their star actor? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: the road ahead just got a whole lot bumpier.
