With multiple Platinum smashes and 5 top 40 hits amassed across Billboard Hip-Hop charts over the last year alone (including smashes like ‘FNF,’ ‘Tomorrow 2,’ and ‘Blessed’), GloRilla has proven she’s one of the era’s female rappers to watch.
And while collecting such rapid success (all ahead of her official debut studio album) may put pressure on the forthcoming effort, Glo took to a recent interview to suggest that project’s commercial performance will be just the beginning of her lucrative run in the music industry.
Chatting with Montreality, MTV, and more recently, the GRAMMY nominee – who is gearing up for the kick off of the ‘Gangsta Art Tour‘ on November 22 – dished extensively about the heights she’s trying to reach and the current superstars she’s modeling her career after.

While chatting it up with MTV, the 24-year-old femcee – who has long made known her admiration for music queen Beyonce – discussed her aspirations to have a career just as iconic as the ‘Single Ladies’ singer’s.
“I want my legacy to be like…my name’s gotta ring bells,” she told the network before pointing to Bey as the benchmark. “Whenever I retire, my name’s gotta always be like how Beyonce’s is…I’m trying to get to her level.”
Glo was clear she doesn’t think the recognition will come overnight, however.
“It’s going to take a lot of hard work because Beyonce is a hard worker,” she shared. “I’ve just got to get on it.”
Bey isn’t the only modern-day superstar getting shout outs from rising rapstress. Taking to Montreality, the ‘Lick or Sum’ had a little sum to say Drake as well.
“[He] is one of the biggest stars of our generation,” she started before recounting her favorable history with the Canadian hitmaker. “I f*ck with him forever. He’s the real GOAT of our generation.”
