Music icon Prince was no stranger to receiving some of the music industry’s highest honors over his storied lifetime, but those achievements show no sign of slowing even as the 10-year anniversary of his untimely passing approaches.
Ahead of next year’s GRAMMY ceremony on February 2, 2025, it’s been announced the late ‘Diamonds & Pearls‘ hitmaker’s GRAMMY collection will have a shiny new addition thanks to leading the slew of legendary acts who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Presented by the Recording Academy at the Special Merit Awards Ceremony at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles on February 1, other honorees include Gospel legend Dr. Bobby Jones, Soul legend Frankie Beverly, The Clash, Frankie Valli, Taj Mahal,and Roxanne Shante.
Lifetime Achievement Awards are presented to performers who have made “creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording.”
