The Milwaukee Bucks’ defining franchise emblem might be present in their current roster. Giannis Antetokounmpo won their second title, while Kareem Abdul-Jabbar took home their first. Antetokounmpo might retire as a one-team player, unlike Kareem. Anyway, that’s what he intends to do.
In an interview with Eurohoops, Giannis said he has no plans to leave Milwaukee and that if the team wants to move on, they will have to trade him away.
Giannis stated: “I don’t think that I would ever text (and ask for a trade), I am not this kind of guy, they would have to kick me out.”
After the presenters proposed a scenario in which Giannis is suddenly traded to the Detroit Pistons, he also made a joke about Luka Doncic at least getting traded to Los Angeles.
In the event of a deal, Giannis stated that he would remain calm and proceed.
“At least Luka went from Dallas to L.A., why you are sending me to Detroit? NBA is business, if I got traded I would inform my family and would do my job.”
Giannis’ standing is even more remarkable considering that Milwaukee is among the NBA’s smaller TV markets. He won multiple MVP honors and a DPOY title while leading the squad to a championship. His work has endured longer than Kareem’s. He may already be the team’s best player and is their all-time leading scorer.
