Travis Kelce Makes an Announcement on His NFL Future

Travis Kelce made a rare statement after losing the Super Bowl. Following the Chiefs‘ Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, all eyes are on Kelce to announce his retirement.

With his 12th NFL season coming to an end this year, Kelce hinted that he would be retiring following the Super Bowl. He claimed that this particular season had “driven him crazy.”

In order to prepare for a job beyond football, Kelce has already started exploring a career in Hollywood. He recently served as executive producer on the film My Dead Friend Zoe, which he described as “an incredible experience.”

He stated to PEOPLE: “hope is to continue working on meaningful projects like this – stories that entertain, inspire and make a real impact.”

In addition, Travis Kelce recently hosted the quiz show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity and made his acting debut in the FX series Grotesquerie.

Even though Kelce has the chance to pursue a career in Hollywood, he isn’t sure he is finished playing football just yet. The renowned tight end will speak with Taylor Swift and his family about his choice to retire.

On the New Heights podcast, he stated: “I know everybody wants to know whether or not I’m playing next year, and right now I’m just kicking everything down the road. I’m kicking every can I can down the road,”

“I’m not making any crazy decisions [yet].” “Right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding there’s a lot that goes into this thing.”

Kelce mentioned that he might decide to retire early due to the wear and tear of playing deep into the playoffs each year. He said: “The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and these Super Bowls, that means I’m playing an extra three games than everybody else in the entire league,”
