Just days after setting the net ablaze with a lawsuit that alleged Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her, physically beat her, and forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed it over the course of their 10-year romantic relationship, reports have now surfaced Cassie has settled the case before it headed to court.

In a surprising and swift twist, both parties released statements on Friday (November 17) ending the would-be legal war is over before it truly began.

“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support,” the singer-model said.

Diddy, who “vehemently denied the offensive and outrageous allegations” (via a statement from his lawyer Ben Brafman), echoed his former girlfriend’s sentiment.

“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love,” he shared in a statement.

At the time of this report the terms of their “amicable” settlement have not been disclosed, however, initial news suggested Cassie was seeking damages in the form of a $30 million payout.

According to Diddy’s attorney, the mogul’s refusal to pay the large sum would have resulted in the ‘Me & U’ hitmaker “writing a damaging book about their relationship.”
