Ashanti lit up the American Idol stage in her latest appearance as a guest mentor.

The proud new mom and wife delivered a stunning medley of her timeless hits, including the fan-favorites ‘Foolish’ and ‘The Way That I Love You,’ reminding everyone why she’s an R&B icon.
Following her performance, Ashanti shared how inspired she’s been by the contestants:
“I’ve been impressed by all of their stories, all of their passion, where they come from — the talent is just through the roof, and they have a purpose. I’m just so happy and so proud of all of them.”
But that wasn’t all — the star also teased her brand-new single, ‘Called You Up,’ along with a music video shot in Bermuda.
The track is set to drop later this month, marking her first official solo release in over a decade.
