Devin Booker Becomes the 2nd Player in Suns History to Reach 15000 Points

Devin Booker made history on Tuesday by becoming the second player in Phoenix Suns history to surpass 15,000 points in his career. In the game against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, the 28-year-old guard reached this milestone rather swiftly.

To get to the scoring total, Booker made a jumper and scored the game’s opening basket in the first twenty-three seconds. To reach the milestone going into Tuesday’s game, he needed just one point.

After a minute or so, the game paused, and the entire audience cheered for their favorite player when Footprint Center revealed Booker’s accomplishment. In celebration of his accomplishment, Booker’s Suns teammate Kevin Durant even stopped by to hug him.

Walter Davis, who played with the Suns from 1977 to 1988, was the only other player to reach this scoring total with the team.

Booker has spent his entire career in Phoenix. This was after being selected by the Suns in the first round of the 2015 NBA draft. Devin Booker has been a consistent force on the Suns. This has been despite the team’s recent roster churn, which included the arrivals of Durant and Bradley Beal.

Additionally, he will keep increasing his score. With 15,666 points, Davis currently holds the franchise scoring record. Booker is probably going to surpass that total this season, barring injury.
