After the rumor mill spun into overdrive this week, the Recording Academy has officially delivered some news that will certainly bring smiles to fans of ‘Die with a Smile‘ duo Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga .
Taking to Instagram on Friday evening (January 31), GRAMMY reps confirmed Mars and Gaga will take to the stage of Sunday’s ceremony (February 2).
While it’s presumed the two will crank out the first televised performance of their chart-topping hit ‘Smile,’ the official press release did not confirm what song they will sing but instead announced the GRAMMY winners will “perform a special tribute to the city of Los Angeles and those affected by the wildfires.”
What’s more, Gaga and Bruno’s smash hit is also competing for two of the night’s biggest awards: Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
The confirmation follows news that big names like Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, Charli XcX, Doechii, Billie Eilish, Shakira, Shaboozey, and Chappell Roan are also on the performers’ roster.
