Chiefs Super Bowl Defeat ‘Blamed’ On Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s Pre-match Double Date Night With The Mahomes

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a devastating defeat in the Super Bowl to the Eagles, leaving fans scratching their heads for an explanation. Believe it or not, the blame has fallen on none other than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s pre-match double date night with Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes.

As the anticipation built up for the big game, fans couldn’t help but notice the star-studded affair less than 48 hours before the clash. Taylor Swift joined forces with Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end, to plan a night out like no other.

The plan was simple – a double date night with Patrick Mahomes and his lovely wife, Brittany Mahomes. The group descended upon a trendy restaurant, turning heads and capturing the attention of fans.

The group were seen entering and leaving popular French restaurant Lilette on Magazine Street, where a large crowd of fans had gathered to catch a glimpse of them late on Friday night.

A source has told DailyMail.com that Swift was ‘super chatty’ and in an ‘amazing and fun mood’ on the double date, as were the whole party.

All four of them were said to be in a ‘tremendously good mood’ as they dined at the restaurant while ‘anticipating a different outcome and result in the game’.

However, their waitress was left shocked by the fact Travis and Patrick were out so close to the Super Bowl, given players usually have strict curfews in the days leading up to the game.

While it is unclear what the rest of the group enjoyed, Swift is understood to have ordered a beef burger and fries on the menu as she treated herself on their night out in the Big Easy.

A beaming Taylor, wearing a black dress and matching Eleonor boots courtesy of shoe designers Larroude, was later seen making her way out of the venue hand-in-hand with Kelce, who had a grey tracksuit on.

Kelce’s longtime Chiefs teammate Mahomes was also seen leaving with wife Brittany just moments after their good friends in a clip which surfaced online.

Patrick, wearing an all-black outfit with a white cap, was led down stairs and into a nearby taxi by security alongside Brittany, who went full Chiefs mode in a long red coat and matching boots for the double date.

A large group of fans who had gathered outside the restaurant cheered as the quartet made their way out while flanked by security.

While there was no suggestion they broke any rules by heading out on a pre-Super Bowl double date, Travis and Patrick’s appearance was still a surprise given that it is so close to the game.

Of course, not everyone believed in the Taylor Swift curse or blamed the date night. They argued that the outcome was a result of the fierce competition and the incredible performance of their opponents. But for the superstitious Chiefs faithful, the connection between the date night and defeat was too strong to ignore. Only time will tell if this infamous night out will go down in history as the moment the Taylor Swift curse struck again.
