Billboard 200: Dua Lipa Scores Her Highest First-Week Sales with ‘Radical Optimism’

Congratulations are in order for Dua Lipa!

For, the Pop princess has lived up to her billing by delivering her highest first-week sales with her third studio album, ‘Radical Optimism.’

Early reports had the ‘Houdini’-led album on course to premiere with 55,000-65,000 units equivalent units.

With buzz around the LP on an incline, that number was revised upwards not once but twice.

Now, with the final tally in, it’s been confirmed that the album sold 83,000 copies in the US.

Pure sales made for lion’s share of the total (51,500).

The sum sees the songstress fly in at #2 on the Billboard 200 (behind the seemingly unstoppable Taylor Swift, whose ‘Tortured Poets Department’ extends its reign to three weeks).

In doing so, Lipa lands her largest start on the coveted count – besting the 66,000 debut of 2020’s ‘Future Nostalgia.’

The Stateside win comes on the heels of the star premiering at #1 on the Official UK Album Chart.
