Derrick Henry may not be the type of person you envision going on extravagant shopping sprees. One might even question whether he ever steps away from his workout routine and hyperbaric oxygen chamber. However, after securing a two-year, $30 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens — which includes $25 million guaranteed, the All-Pro running back felt it was finally time to indulge a bit.

During his recent appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Henry was asked what his last extravagant purchase was. He replied with a grin and a shrug: “Yeah, I mean I don’t try to splurge too much.”

“Everybody has something that they really like,”

“You like what you like. And I think my biggest thing right now is I’m into like watches. I love, I love watches.”

“My recently purchased was… I think I got a platinum Daytona, uh, Rolex,”  “That was a nice one. But yeah, you know, you gotta treat yourself.”

He disclosed, pointing to one of the most sought-after luxury watches available. Which model was it? The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 126506-0001 — a platinum-cased marvel that commands over six figures in the secondary market. Specifically, $122,500.

Unveiled in 2023, it showcases a chestnut brown Cerachrom bezel, an eye-catching ice-blue dial, and an upgraded Caliber 4131 automatic movement.

This timepiece is also the first Daytona to feature a transparent case back, an uncommon element of openness in Rolex’s typically closed design. Equipped with a robust Oyster bracelet, the watch combines strength with elegance — much like Derrick Henry himself.
