BET Awards: Chris Brown Extends Record for Most Wins Among Male Acts

If any act can boast being crowned King of the BET Awards, it’s R&B bad boy Chris Brown.

Already entering the ceremony’s 2023 iteration as the most-decorated man in the show’s 22-year history, the 2023 BET Awards gave him 4 chances to extend that reign as he was nominated in the Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Male R&B/Pop Artist categories.

Of the four categories Chris competed in, he collected Best Male R&B/Pop Artist (tying with Usher) by the night’s end:

The victories run the ‘Run It’ singer’s career BET Awards win total to 18, extending his reign as the show’s most-decorated male. Among all acts over the show’s history, only Beyonce has nabbed more wins (as we reported here).
