Arch Manning Discloses Which Quarterbacks He Watches to Help Him Get Better

Theoretically, Arch Manning shouldn’t have any trouble locating quarterback role models. He is a member of one of football’s most recognizable dynasties, after all. His grandpa started it all by establishing the foundation for the Manning name to become a byword for center leadership. Peyton and Eli Manning, two quarterbacks who made a lasting impression on the NFL, continued and enhanced that legacy.

Each of the brothers won two Super Bowl championships. Peyton achieved success with two distinct teams: the Indianapolis Colts, who drafted him, and the Denver Broncos, who many thought would just ride him out into retirement.

Rather, he demonstrated that he still had a lot of energy left, adding to the Broncos’ legendary past and continuing John Elway’s legacy.

Arch Manning names Josh Allen and Joe Burrow as his inspirations

While acknowledging that he watched his uncles’ films to learn what made them so great, Arch has shifted his attention to two contemporary quarterbacks whose styles are more in line with his own goals: Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I’m watching a lot of Josh Allen and Joe Burrow right now. Those are my guys,”. “They’re dogs. I’ve watched some of their college film. They’re just good players, elite competitors and fun to watch.

Compared to his uncles, Arch Manning presents a totally distinct profile. Neither Peyton nor Eli were renowned for their mobility, but they both excelled in the pocket with their cerebral play and deft passing. But Arch’s approach to the game is far more dynamic. A true dual-threat, his athleticism—especially his ability to make plays while moving—adds another depth to his skill set.

Manning also said about Josh Allen: He’s just the ultimate football player. If something’s not there, he’s going to make something happen and do whatever he can to make his team win.

Even though the 2026 NFL Draft is still a ways off, Arch Manning is already the clear favorite to be selected first overall, according to early forecasts and betting markets. Everyone will be watching to see if he can make that promise a reality in his debut season as a full-time starter at Texas.
