Every game he has commented on this season, Tom Brady has given out the LFG Player of the Match award. He made the decision to present his first LFG awards for the entire season, which this time included Coach of the Year, as the season was coming to a close.
It should come as no surprise that Andy Reid received the award for his season-long accomplishments. This season, his Chiefs had their greatest record under his leadership with 15 victories and advanced to another Super Bowl.
Brady praised the five-time Super Bowl champion for yet another outstanding season in Kansas City, referring to him as “one of the greatest coaches of all time.”
Andy Reid expresses gratitude and thanks Tom Brady
Reid expressed gratitude to Brady and received the honors with grace.
“Tom Brady, thank you for the LFG Coach of the Year. I appreciate you for all you did for the game and are doing for the game.”
Brady has been subjected to criticism, but it appears that Reid at least recognizes the effort he is making in his new broadcasting profession. The Chiefs’ head coach made sure to give TB12 the credit he deserves because he has undoubtedly gained the respect of the football community.
“You are doing a great job by the way. Keep rolling. I know how much time you spent working on it and it’s paying off for you.”
There were several deserving contenders for Coach of the Year, including McDermott, Sirianni, Dan Campbell, and Kevin O’Connell. Why, then, did TB12 choose to present Reid with the prize?
First off, with a franchise-high 15 games won, this was Andy’s greatest season with the Chiefs. Under his leadership, the club continued to win, even in defeating circumstances.
