During an appearance on the We Sound Crazy Podcast, hitmaker Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins shared an interesting fact about the track – and it relates to Michael Jackson.

Reflecting on the creation of the song (which was originally housed on Houston’s 1998 album ‘My Love Is Your Love’), Jerkins shared that the duet version that arrived two years later was originally conceived and demoed as a duet between the songbird and the King of Pop.

The prolific producer was notably working on both Houston and MJ’s projects at the time.
