In the NBA, Wembanyama is rapidly winning over fans. In his second season, the Spurs big man is helping San Antonio achieve a respectable record.
Victor Wembanyama having a stellar season
On average, the former NBA Rookie of the Year scores 25 points and pulls down 10 rebounds every game. San Antonio defeated the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, improving their season record to 16–15.
In a game that San Antonio lost to the Knicks on Christmas Day, Wembanyama had an incredible game, scoring 42 points. In that game, he only needed three more points to tie the NBA player’s Christmas debut points record. Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 45 in his Christmas debut, holds that record.
The big man’s willingness to trade shirts and pose for photos may be drawing in new fans.
