Tyrese Haliburton Shares the Key to His Game-Winning Shot

Tyrese Haliburton‘s game-winning shot in Game 1 of the Indiana Pacers’ stunning 111-110 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder was one of the most memorable moments of the 2025 NBA Finals thus far.

Beyond the actual photo, though, Haliburton made the most of the occasion to highlight his recently launched signature shoe collection. The Hali 1s were formally unveiled by Haliburton and PUMA just hours prior to Thursday’s tipoff.

By wearing the “Hibiscus” colorway throughout his clutch performance, Haliburton quickly broke them in and helped Indiana overcome a 15-point deficit to win the series opener.

When questioned about the key to his heroics in the closing moments of the game, Haliburton made a lighthearted reference to his new sneakers.

Haliburton grinned and said: “That’s a great question,”. “The secret sauce today were these,” 

Although the shoes attracted attention, Haliburton also gave the Pacers’ team mentality credit. Throughout their postseason run, the squad has drawn inspiration from their disappointment at missing the playoffs the previous season.
