If Selena Gomez and her beloved fans (affectionately called #Selenators) thought right-wing conservatives were done dissing her over that now-viral crying video, they thought wrong.
As reported, Gomez was slammed for crying on social media over reports that thousands of “illegal” immigrants – many of whom were from Latin America – were being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in raids to forcefully oust them from the country.
“I just want to say that I’m so sorry. All my people are getting attacked. The children. I don’t understand,” the 32-year-old Mexican singer-actress in the now-viral clip. “I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”
Selena quickly deleted the video from social media after a swarm of Trump supporters flooded her accounts to attack her for what many of them deemed to be “pro-criminal” rhetoric.
After fending off a Utah politician Sam Parker who called for her to be deported alongside those immigrants, political commentator Megyn Kelly branded Gomez a “sick person” and joined a diss train that included disparaging remarks from Trump’s border Czar Tom Hooman.
The latest round of disses came from the White House directly.
Via a video uploaded to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Friday evening (January 31), the Trump-sanctioned visual interpolates clips of Selena crying between moms who approve of the current administration’s war against undocumented immigrants.
In it, they call the hitmaker an attention-seeking “actress” who is “not genuine” and looking to garner “sympathy for lawlessness.”
At writing, Gomez has not responded to the White House post that’s racked up over 1 million views in less than 5 hours.
