Colorado standout Travis Hunter won the Heisman Trophy earlier this month, capping an incredible season. Fans criticizing his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, for her behavior during the ceremony, regrettably, overshadowed his Heisman moment. After receiving a lot of negative feedback from admirers, Lenee decided to make her Instagram private.

In addition to addressing the fan comments she had received over the previous four months, she chose to keep her TikTok account public and concluded by providing an explanation of the events at the ceremony.

“As soon as I seen Travis get up, then I thought it was appropriate to stand up, greet him, congratulate him. But then there was a camera right in front of Coach Prime, and I knew they were going to film that moment. And because of how people are online, I was like, ‘I don’t want to be in that shot, so I’m going to sit down.’ So I tried to sit down. So I’m not in the camera while I’m crying.”

Several films of her behavior from the past few years have surfaced on social media in the days after she uploaded the video, which has increased conjecture regarding her relationship with Hunter. Both Hunter and Lenee have already removed their social media accounts and made them private, suggesting that this was the last straw.

Lenee deactivated her Instagram and TikTok accounts, and Hunter deactivated his Instagram account.
