Tory Lanez Breaks Silence on 10-Year Prison Sentence: “See You Soon”

Tory Lanez has issued a public response to the 10-year prison sentence a Judge handed down to him this week.

As widely reported, the disgraced star was convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in a now infamous incident that took place in July 2020.

With many in deep dialogue about the case, Lanez’s supporters, and more, the performer himself has spoken up and out.

Find out what he had to say below…

Via Instagram, the Canadian insisted he was innocent and that he was “wrongfully convicted.”

Defiant, he declared: “I will never let no jail time eliminate me.”

Check out his remarks in full:

“To The Umbrellas,
I have never let a hard time intimidate me
I will never never let no jail time eliminate me
Regardless of how they try to spin my words, I have always
maintained my innocence and I always will.
This week in court I took responsibility for all verbal and
intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved..
That’s it.
In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m
being wrongfully convicted of. I remain on the stance that I
refuse to apologize for something that I did not do.
I’ve faced adversity my whole life and every time it looked
like I would lose, I came out on top. This is nothing but
another moment where my back is against the wall and I
refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious.
Tough times don’t last, tough people do.
To my family, friends and umbrellas thank you for your
continued support.
See you soon.”

Having been dealt a decade behind bars, many (us included) may scratch their heads at Lanez’s suggestion of seeing anyone… “soon.”

It should be noted, though, that his legal reps have expressed their intention to file an appeal. Which perhaps explains his sentiments.

Still, with analysts pointing to the strength of the evidence and case against him, it goes without saying that he has quite a hurdle in front of him whatever happens.

Your thoughts?
