Teyana Taylor Wants Iman Shumpert Jailed For Leaking Divorce Documents

Teyana Taylor wants Iman Shumpert imprisoned for contempt after she and her legal team claim he leaked confidential documents about their divorce.

Taylor has alleged that false rumors regarding the assets she received in her divorce from Shumpert have led to hate speech and internet scrutiny, according to court records TMZ was able to access. She charges Shump for disclosing false information, claiming she was given a tour bus, several properties, cars, and more.

Taylor clarified that there was no settlement because she and Shump received the money that the judge had given them. She added that her ex-husband took three houses, including one that was a present for her, and that she paid for the cars and tour bus that were provided to her.

Taylor clarified the court settlement and pointed out that it’s no accident that a report about a “false divorce settlement” surfaced just as her career was taking off. Taylor also claimed that Shump’s new song coincided with the publication of the settlement news, suggesting that her ex was using their divorce as a promotional tool.

Iman Shumpert hits back at Teyana Taylor’s accusations

Taylor said that although Shump has been taking advantage of their marital problems for his gain, she has been the target of hate mail online.

As a result, Taylor and her team are asking a judge to sentence her ex-husband to 20 days in jail and contempt of court, as well as maximum fines for allegedly disclosing the details of their divorce.

In a statement, Shumpert’s attorney refuted the charges. He said: “My client, Mr. Iman Shumpert, has never whatsoever leaked any allegations or claims stated in any of the pleadings in the Taylor/Shumpert divorce case,”. “Mr. Shumpert adamantly denies that he has provided any information to any media. Specifically, but without limitations, he denies that he leaked any information which may have served as the basis for the multiple news reports preceding the trial of this matter.”

Several blogs falsely claimed that the divorce was finalized this week, even though it was settled back in July 2024. In a statement, Nikki Taylor, Taylor’s manager and mother, questioned why the deal was making news at the moment.
