Mike Tyson Is A Free Man After Rape Accuser Drops Lawsuit Against Him

Mike Tyson is finally a free man! You heard that right, the boxing legend had a lawsuit against him dropped by his rape accuser. It’s been a long and rocky road for Tyson, but it looks like things are finally turning in his favor.

Now, with this lawsuit being dropped, Tyson can finally move forward without that dark cloud hanging over his head. It’s a big win for his legal team and a big relief for Tyson himself.

The 58-year-old had been accused by the unidentified plaintiff of attacking her following a night at an Albany night club in a $5 million suit.

In a new letter dated March 7, Tyson‘s lawyer Daniel Rubin wrote in a letter to judge Mitchell J. Katz that the woman would be withdrawing her suit.

Rubin wrote in his letter that he had spoken with the woman’s lawyer Darren Seilback who said she would be ‘discontinuing this action with prejudice’.

That means the lawsuit cannot be refiled, with the letter also adding that the two attorneys are in the process of ‘drafting a stipulation of discontinuance’.

Tyson had always denied the claims made by the unknown woman, who claimed he ‘pulled my pants off and violently raped me’.

In a statement, Rubin said: ‘While not surprising, given the baseless allegations, we are pleased with the result.

‘A complete withdrawal of all claims without any compensation, concession or settlement of any kind from Mr. Tyson. This should never should have been filed.’

The action had been filed in New York under the state’s Adult Survivors Act, which gives sexual assault victims a one-year window to file lawsuits over assaults that happened years or even decades ago.

We’ll still be keeping an eye on Tyson and this withdrawn case. For now, let’s just celebrate this victory and hope that he continues on a positive path. Congrats, Iron Mike, you are now a free man!
