Love and war seemingly took on a new meaning for Tamar Braxton on Monday (March 17).

The GRAMMY-nominated R&B diva, who rang in St. Patrick’s Day by celebrating her 48th birthday, unexpectedly found herself atop headlines after her older sister Toni Braxton took to Instagram to deliver well wishes while asserting she’d been blocked from doing so elsewhere.

Quickly sending social media into a buzz, Tamar responded by taking to social media later that night to try to quiet the murmurs of tension between them but also suggested her legendary sibling had ulterior motives for her original statement.

Taking to her official Instagram page on Monday afternoon (March 17), Toni wished her little sister happy birthday but tagged a little something extra on to the message.

“Wanted to repost that GORGEOUS picture of you, but I’m blocked, again?? Anyway, Happy Birthday Tay,” she wrote captioned a video of space.

The post certainly got people talking, a chatter that found its way to the desk of Tamar who hopped into her older sister’s comment section to respond.

“Or, you could’ve called. #Gaslighting,” the 48-year-old relayed.

As the day went on, Tamar revisited the drama by taking to her own Instagram page.

“Y’all gone stop playing with me…it’s my birthday. I’m celebrating with my friends and not bothering a soul,” she said on her IG stories alongside a screenshot of a text message conversation between her and Toni. “You did it to be mean like we don’t talk. Happy birthday to me anyway.”

At writing, the ‘Unbreak My Heart’ hitmaker has not responded to her younger sister’s claims of being mean and gaslighting.

The drama unfolds as fans of both divas anxiously await official news about the premiere date of season 2 of ‘The Braxtons‘ reboot.
