Although both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jamal Murray are honored to be on the Canadian Senior Men’s National Team, the NBA Playoffs are all business.

Murray expressed his frustration with Gilgeous-Alexander’s foul-drawing tactics as the Nuggets prepare to lose to the Thunder in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Murray made fun of Gilgeous-Alexander with some physical humor late in the third quarter to vent his frustration. The outcome was a moment that went viral very fast and will undoubtedly be discussed when the two get together to compete internationally again.

Near the conclusion of the third quarter, with Oklahoma City down 10 points, Gilgeous-Alexander drove and drew a foul on Christian Braun, a guard for the Nuggets.

Gilgeous-Alexander twisted his body in midair and then dropped to the ground after absorbing the hit. Murray made it clear that he was not amused as the MVP candidate got ready to get up off the hardwood.

Denver’s guard yelled a grievance and gestured to Gilgeous-Alexander before wildly thrashing his body as though he were doubting the officials’ judgment to award such behavior.

Gilgeous-Alexander went to the line to make his seventh and eighth free throws of the game without an official review. The degree to which players go to get a whistle is up for debate, but it’s undeniable that foul-drawing is a skill. Ask Murray.
