Scotty Pippen Jr.’s Career-High Performance Against Thunder Is Celebrated by Larsa Pippen

The Memphis Grizzlies have had a difficult few seasons, but Scotty Pippen Jr.‘s rise has been one of the team’s best developments. Despite the Grizzlies’ recent run of injuries to important players like Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, Pippen Jr. has gradually developed into a dependable player.

The 24-year-old has made the most of the chances that have been presented to him. During the first-round playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, his development as an athlete was evident.

Pippen Jr. put on consecutive career stands against the league’s top squad, with their backs to the wall. Pippen Jr. finished with 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in Game 3. With 8 of 16 field goals and 6 of 10 long-range shots, he was also his team’s top scorer.

Pippen Jr. ended with a double-double in a losing effort in Game 4. He had four assists, eleven rebounds, and thirty points. He was his team’s best player once more. The Grizzlies lost for the fourth time in a row and were out of the playoffs in spite of his efforts. However, Pippen Jr. has given enough reasons to his mother to celebrate.

Larsa Pippen praised the 24-year-old on Instagram following his recent performance. She shared multiple articles on his career-high 30-point performance. She wrote:  “I’m so proud of my son. He’s one of the best point guards in the league! You had a great season, my love.”

Pippen Jr. played in the NBA for the first time this season. He averaged 9.9 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 79 games during the regular season. However, he revealed his true self during the playoffs when the pressure increased. Throughout four games, Pippen Jr. averaged 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
