As 144th Pick in the NFL Draft Shedeur Sanders Joins Browns

The Cleveland Browns selected quarterback Shedeur Sanders 144th overall and sixth in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. The son of renowned dual-purpose player Deion Sanders, the former University of Colorado player was predicted to be selected in the top five.

Analysts were perplexed by his decline in selection after the club after team decided not to select him. On social media, even US President Donald Trump showed his astonishment. Sanders was selected by the Browns with their seventh pick after they traded the 166th and 192nd overall picks to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Andrew Berry, general manager of the Browns, stated: “We felt like he was a good, solid prospect at the most important position,”

“We felt it got to a point where he was probably mis-priced relative to the draft.”

He was selected as the sixth quarterback overall and the second by the Browns, who also selected Dillon Gabriel of Oregon in the third round.

Although Watson is injured and probably won’t play next season, the Browns already have quarterbacks Deshaun Watson, Kenny Pickett, and 40-year-old Super Bowl champion Joe Flacco on their roster.

In his illustrious NFL career, Sanders’ father Deion played wide receiver, kick returner, and cornerback on offense for a number of teams, including the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys.

He also played for the Atlanta Braves in the 1992 World Series, which is baseball’s highest level.
