Megan Thee Stallion is bringing her anime dreams to life. For, the femcee has announced that she has an anime series in the works.

While speaking at DreamCon this past weekend, the Houston native, cosplaying as Yoruichi Shihōin from ‘Bleach’, dropped the news that she’s developing an anime series for Prime Video.

The rapper didn’t dish out deep details, but she promised that it’s going to be worth the watch. She says:

“You ain’t never seen an anime like this ever in your life.”

But, there’s more, because she’s teaming up with Carl Jones — the producer behind ‘The Boondocks.’

This latest venture is definitely in the ‘Savage’ performer’s wheelhouse, as she’s a known anime fan. From her cosplay, lyrics, and being questioned on her anime knowledge. In 2020, she partnered with Crunchyroll for an anime-inspired streetwear line.

Delving into her love for the format, she states:

“I’m half anime character, half rapper. I like how you see a character start off weak, go through training, and grow into their power. I apply that to my life a lot.”

This news comes after the ‘Hiss’ femcee launched her Hot Girl Summer swim collection, dropped on May 29 during PARAISO Miami Swim Week.
