As rave reviews roll in for Lil Nas X‘s latest single, ‘HotBox,’ the rapper-singer is already eyeing plans on taking the tune to the next level.

Ahead of the tune’s March 14 premiere, LNX not only trumpeted its arrival with the release of four new songs (also set to be on his forthcoming album ‘Dreamboy‘) but also hit the promo trail by visiting his hometown radio station – Atlanta’s Hot 107.9.

While there, he chatted it up with the resident hosts about everything from his career-at-large to his new era and more.

When quizzed on his relationship with his idol Nicki Minaj, the ‘Old Town Road’ hitmaker (born Montero Hill) revealed he’s still not met her but hasn’t given up hope.

“One day [we] might remix ‘Hotbox’…me, her, and Pharrell Williams,” he said after the host relayed she was “praying” he finally collaborate with the Harajuku Barbie.

Hill was previously dissed by fellow Nicki fans (affectionately called #Barbz) for allegedly using the Rap Queen’s name for clout.  He not only denied the accusation, but promised to never speak publicly on her again.

Things have apparently changed.

The reference to Pharrell came after many fans of the new song (including the interviewers) likened its sound to the producer’s work in the early 2000s.

Elsewhere in the chat, Hill also admitted he’s eyeing collaborations with fellow Atlantan hitmakers.

“Probably Andre 3000,” Montero shared first when quizzed on who his dream Atlanta duet would be. “I want to do some sh-t with Young Thug too…me and Thug could make so much different sh-t together. I feel like it’s going to happen one day.”
