Kirk Franklin has expressed regret while reflecting on his performance in Jamaica.

The Gospel titan sat down to ruminate on the peaks and troughs of 2024, as well as his hopes for the New Year.

Waxing candidly, he seized the moment to address his showing in the Caribbean country last April. A showing that sparked backlash for both his revealing choice of attire and dance moves.

Speaking on the episode, Franklin copped to both his outfit and antics on stage offending a sect of attendees and viewers. He said:

“Since the beginning of my career, I’ve been dancing and moving around and jumping on stage that I didn’t know I would do anything that would ever offend anyone in any community…but it did. And because it did, I sincerely apologize. Because I never want to get to a place where I can’t learn what I need to do better. I want to be humble enough to ensure I hear people and their concerns when talking about (something I may be doing) that’s bigger than the word of Jesus. If I’m louder than the word of Jesus then I’ve failed.”
