Late in the Boston Celtics‘ heartbreaking Game 4 defeat, Jayson Tatum sustained a catastrophic injury. Boston’s chances of winning the NBA again are in jeopardy.
On Monday night, the New York Knicks defeated them at Madison Square Garden.
They were 3-1 behind in the series and in danger of being eliminated after the 121-113 loss. Additionally, their main star’s injury in the fourth quarter made their evening much more agonizing.
With just over three minutes left, Tatum, 27, went down due to a non-contact injury. To determine the degree of the damage, the Boston Celtics player will have an MRI.
However, some supporters worry about a prolonged absence. From behind Tatum’s fall, one perspective seemed to depict what one person described as a potentially ruptured achilles.
Just four plays into Aaron Rodgers’ tenure with the New York Jets, Tatum’s lower leg gave way similarly. Even rival players and spectators cheered as the 27-year-old was assisted off the court following the fall. After that, he had to be wheeled in a chair back to the locker room.
Additionally, Tatum was clearly upset as he was wheeled away.
