Something is obviously wrong when boxing’s most flamboyant showman criticizes the spectacle of this year’s biggest match. Infuriated by what he perceived as disrespect for the real heroes of the sport, Jake Paul didn’t mince words, and supporters swiftly came together in support of him.
It looks like the battle of the year will be between American Terence Crawford and Mexican Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez. With the support of Riyadh Season and led by UFC CEO and media tycoon Dana White, both fighters have just begun a vigorous marketing campaign.
Tension was high during their most recent confrontation, which took place in New York on Sunday, but not for the right reasons. At least, Paul, who expressed his annoyance clearly, said.
Jake recently attacked the press conference organizers in a post on X (previously Twitter), writing:
“I’m going to fire MVP’s head of production if he ever has the fighters come out before the promoters, hosts, etc.” “They keep saying Canelo and Crawford [are] legends… treat them like that,”
I’m going to fire MVPs head of production if he ever has the fighters come out before the “promoters, host, etc.” – they keep saying Canelo and Crawford legends….treat them like so then

What caused Paul to lose his temper? Paul thought it was backwards and a sign of misaligned priorities because Canelo and Crawford were presented at the event before Dana White and ESPN’s Max Kellerman. Notably, Kellerman was named as a member of the fight’s Netflix broadcast crew.
