Isiah Thomas Blasts LeBron James for His Lack of “Professionalism”

LeBron James has been in the news a lot throughout the 2024–25 season, possibly more than ever before. First, despite having a brief and unsuccessful college career, his son Bronny James joined the Los Angeles Lakers. The former Dallas Mavericks player then unexpectedly joined James as a teammate, thanks to Luka Doncic. Lastly, the NBA media industry was rocked by James’ on-court feud with Stephen A. Smith.

Because of everything said above, James’ every move is currently being closely examined. Everyone wants a narrative about LeBron as the Lakers get closer to making their 2025 NBA Playoffs debut.

Isiah Thomas: LeBron James should be fined for warming up without a shirt

Before the Lakers vs. Houston Rockets game on Friday night, the NBA TV broadcast paused to show a video of James warming up before the game. Isiah Thomas, an analyst, attacked James for whatever reason, citing his choice to go naked as a microcosm of the NBA’s “professionalism” problems.

“I totally 100% object to this … the professionalism in our NBA league has diminished so much.”

It was a pointless tirade, and Thomas was appropriately criticized for this opinion. Many followers merely mentioned that James was an athlete and probably had no idea that he was being filmed on his own court, while a few others brought receipts.

The sexual harassment case that was brought against Thomas while he was the head coach of the New York Knicks was the easiest layup ever. Thomas was explicitly criticized for his own lack of professionalism.

This is just another instance of how the media is looking for any excuse to criticize James’ actions. In the opinion of many admirers, it has become quite strange.
