Brandy made clear last year that she is fully interested in reprising her role as ‘Karla Wilson’ in the forthcoming reboot of the beloved horror film franchise ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer.’

“I don’t know how [Karla] would come back…but I know that she should come back,” she told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ in August. “They have [reached out], so we’ll see what happens. I would love that.”

And while her role in the flick hasn’t been announced, signs are pointing to her dedicated fans (affectionately called #Starz) being able to see B-Rocka rock the big screen in ‘Summer’ once again this summer.

While chatting it up with our friends at ‘People‘ magazine, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson – director of the highly anticipated new installment of the ‘Summer’ franchise – addressed rumors the R&B icon will be rejoining for former castmates Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. for another chapter of the horror favorite.

“You’ll have to go see the movie,” Robinson shared before saying, “All the things that you want to see in this movie, you’re going to see in this movie…We very purposefully wanted to make this movie both for fans of the original who are coming to this and excited about the easter eggs but also for a new audience that can find I Know and almost watch the first one like a prequel.”

Like Jennifer, Brandy has also been tight-lipped about if she will or won’t be involved in the upcoming ‘Summer’ flick.

Guess we will have to wait until the film hits theaters on July 18.
