After the Lakers were unexpectedly eliminated from the postseason, LeBron James‘ detractors are out in full force. However, the King seemed unfazed, saying he isn’t losing any sleep in his early offseason.
When the Hall of Famer pressed James about the stories behind the team’s early elimination, the four-time champion opened up in an interview with Steve Nash on the “Mind The Game” podcast.
How did the Lakers lose to the Timberwolves when James and one of the league’s best players, Luka Doncic, were on the same team? Nash asked one of the most important things on everyone’s mind.
James stated: “It’s never just about me and Luka,”.
Nash concurred with the 21-time All-Star’s assertion that basketball is a team sport and that the Lakers’ roster is still developing, pointing out that the Timberwolves are far ahead in that regard.
The Lakers will undoubtedly make adjustments this offseason to get the club back on track, and LeBron, who hurt his knee in the first-round series, is putting his recuperation and family time first.
