Fat Joe Disrespects Shaquille O’Neal Among Other Takes

Fat Joe possibly has some beef with Shaquille O’Neal. These days, the league’s top big men are proficient shooters. This makes it easier for teams to spread over the court and has completely changed the definition of a center’s position.

As a result, players have had to pick up new abilities that the older guys were never concerned about. Additionally, it has caused onlookers to view the stance differently.

Rapper and longtime NBA fan Fat Joe made an appearance on Carmelo Anthony’s podcast, “7PM in Brooklyn,” and he had one of the most outrageous opinions about NBA big men. According to the rapper, Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks is the best offensive big man he has ever seen play. He said: “I don’t think I’ve seen a better offensive big man in my life than KAT.”

Is Fat Joe’s Bold take on Shaquille O’Neal and KAT simply ludicrous?

Given that players like Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O’Neal, and Nikola Jokić have experience in the NBA, Towns’ selection is undoubtedly intriguing. Joe felt adamant about his stance, but most people wouldn’t even consider Towns.

Fat Joe said: “I’ve sat in the game and watch KAT do ten moves. You cannot know what he’s gonna give you. Hit em’ with the left. Hit em’ with the right. Spin on you this way, that way, that way. That’s impossible to guard…best offensively ever. I’m talking about Olajuwon, Shaq is the most dominant big man but he ain’t doing this…my take is he’s too hard to guard.”

Even though Towns has a lot of potential, the rapper is making a crazy assertion. Towns has been averaging 24.9 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game in his first campaign with the Knicks.

Towns falls short, even with Jokic. Jokic is a far better passer than Towns, but he can accomplish essentially the same things, which helps his team’s offense as a whole.

Towns has every advantage to stand out, but Joe’s assertion is audacious.
