Deets on the suspected shooter and video of Quavo’s new track inside… The man accused of killing Migos rapper Takeoff has been released from jail on a $1 million bond. According to court records, Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, was released from the Harris County Jail on Tuesday. The suspected killer was arrested and charged with murder on Thursday, December 1st, one month after Takeoff (real name Kirsnick Khari Ball) was killed. According to Clark's lawyer, Letitia Quinones, he has a "valid and meritorious claim for self-defense." His release comes after his defense team tried to have his bond lowered to $300,000, saying he couldn’t come up with the cash to get out. Judge Josh Hill agreed to reduce Clark's bond from its initial $2 million amount to $1 million on December 14th. Clark is a well-known local entertainment promoter and entertainer known as "DJ Pat" who ran The Flame HTX, a southwest Houston strip club. His defense team tried to have his bond lowered to $300,000, saying he couldn’t come up with the cash to get out, but they were unsuccessful. The alleged murderer's family set up a GoFundMe account to help raise money for his former $2 million cash bail. According to Judge Hill, Clark had previously stated that he was capable of posting a $1 million bail, and bail bond companies were willing to assume that risk. For that reason, the judge denied his request to lower the bond to $300,000, keeping it at $1 million. Prosecutors had previously expressed concern that Clark was not disclosing all of his financial assets. They said he works as a local DJ and strip club promoter and mostly deals in cash, making it difficult to determine how much money he actually has. Someone stepped in to see that Clark was released from jail. Clark’s attorney said in a statement that a "concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick's innocence" posted the bond on his behalf. “Neither Patrick nor his family posted the bond in this case,” Letitia D. Quinones, a defense attorney for Clark, said in a Thursday statement to Houston Public Media. “A concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick's innocence posted the bond on his behalf. Like any other defendant, Patrick is presumed to be innocent and has the right to bond.” Many believe the “concerned citizen family friend” is someone in the Prince Family, specifically CEO and co-founder of Rap-A-Lot Records,  J.
