Michael Penix Jr., the quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, and his long-term girlfriend Olivia Carter announced their engagement on social media during the holiday.

Michael Penix Jr., the rookie quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, has had an excellent few weeks. Penix revealed some significant life news following his spectacular NFL debut and the love he received from his girlfriend, Olivia Carter.

Over the holiday, Penix and Carter got engaged, and the former Heisman Trophy candidate went all out. On social media, he posted a video of the spectacular engagement, complete with a lavish arrangement of roses and the words “MARRY ME” in enormous letters that left his now fiancée stunned.

Using social media, Penix posted: “I will love you forever,”. “I can’t wait to do life with you.”

For a number of years, Carter and Penix have been together. She played soccer for the University of Nevada women’s team and resides in Seattle. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology upon graduation.

When Penix recently shared the humorous story of how he found out he was taking over as the Falcons’ starter, Olivia made headlines.
