Ed Sheeran Pacing Toward His 14th #1 Single In The UK

Ed Sheeran‘s latest single is a hit in the UK, and it could unseat Miley Cyrus for the top spot.

Taking to press, the Official Charts Company announced that Ed Sheeran is in a close race with Miley Cyrus for this week’s #1 single.

‘Eyes Closed’ touches on Ed’s mental state in the past year, and if it continues to perform strongly, then it will debut at #1 in the UK.

If it manages to do so, then it will become his 14th #1 song in the country.

Cyrus is currently expected to fall to #2 this week.

‘Eyes Closed’ is the lead single from Sheeran’s upcoming ‘- (Subtract)’ album, which is due out on May 5.
