Doechii‘s ascend continues. This time on the UK charts.

For, the rising star has rocketed into the top 5 of the Official UK Singles Chart with her viral smash ‘Anxiety.’

On this week’s iteration of the coveted count, ‘Anxiety’ launches at #4.

Powered by a potent blend of Doechii’s candid lyricism and a sample of Gotye and Kimbra’s 2011 smash ‘Somebody That You Used To Know,’ the track had been floating around since its landing on the rapper’s 2019 mixtape ‘Coven Music Session, Vol .1.’ It notably was not available on DSPs.

After going all sorts of viral on TikTok, Doechii heeded fan requests for a fresh release and she dropped a re-recorded version.

And it’s storming the charts on a global scale. Deservedly.

‘Anxiety’ becomes her second UK top 10 and arrives a mere matter of months after ‘Denial Is A River’ (from her GRAMMY-winning ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’ project) peaked at #9.

The news comes in tandem with Doechii teaming with Will Smith and Tatiyna Ali to recreate the classic ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ scene that sparked the ‘Anxiety’ social media trend.
