TMZ reports that the R&B singer was detained after being stopped for allegedly hitting a passenger in Miami.
Witnesses claim that the performer was driving fast and in a disorientated manner, swerving between lanes.
It’s alleged that she hit the male rider of a motor-scooter and dragged the vehicle for a block. A nearby police officer is said to have stopped the chaos in motion.
Per the paperwork filed, the 28-year-old was described as smelling of alcohol and a breathalyzer found that she was almost two times the legal limit.
She was consequently handcuffed, jailed, and hit with three felony charges – driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and DUI damage to property.
The victim was treated at a local hospital; doctors say he suffered a spinal fracture and a kidney laceration.
