Originally set to take place this Sunday (January 12), the event has officially been placed on pause.
The news was confirmed by Critics Choice Association COO Joey Berlin. He informed Variety: “The show has been officially postponed.”
Further details are said to be imminent.
The ceremony is the latest high-profile event to be affected by the harrowing fires, which have caused ample damage, seen thousands evacuate, and resulted in many losing their homes.
The first fire ignited near Pacific Palisades, with the Eaton Fire breaking out close to Pasadena, and the Hurst Fire erupting in San Fernando Valley.
All have caused California Governor Gavin Newsom to formally declare a state of emergency.
