Two years after watching her sophomore album, ‘777,’ become her first top 20 hit on the Billboard 200, Latto (born Alyssa Stephens) has bested her own personal record by pouring her third album – the August 9-released ‘Tea’ – into an even higher position on the coveted tally.

First-Week Sales (SPS): 29,000 units

First-Week Sales (Pure): 2,200 units

Billboard 200 Debut: #15

A superstar-studded affair that featured Megan Thee Stallion, CoCo Jones, Cardi B, Ciara, Flo Milli, Go Grizzly, Pooh Beatz, and Earl on the Beat, ‘Tea’ even surpassed industry analyst predictions by landing at #15 on the current all-genre album chart thanks to total sales of 29,000.

And while the placement ties her Billboard 200 best (as ‘777’ also peaked at #15 in 2022), ‘Sugar’ soars past its predecessor’s first-week sum of 24,000.

Among all female Rap studio albums released in 2024, Stephens enters as the second highest behind the top 5 arrival of her ‘Squeeze‘ co-star Megan Thee Stallion‘s self-titled effort released in June.

When all female Rap projects released this year are considered, ‘Megan’ and GloRilla‘s ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang‘ mixtape (which sold 33,000 units its first week) are the top openings.
