Cardi B Sued For Copyright Infringement Over Hit Song ‘Enough (Miami)’

Two Texas artists have had enough of watching Cardi B rake in the success of her latest Hot 100 top 10 hit, ‘Enough (Miami),’ and believe they’re entitled to some of it.

Details inside.

Cardi’s holiday break was undoubtedly ruined when she received news Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, a producer duo who make up the group Kemika1956, took to a federal court in the Lone Star State to sue her for copyright infringement on Wednesday (July 3).

Alleging the Grammy-winning femcee and the song’s producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo used elements of their 2021 song ‘Greasy Frybread‘ without permission in her hit ‘Enough,’  the two say their tune had gained notoriety when it was featured in the FX series ‘Reservation Dogs.’

To remedy, the plaintiffs are requesting statutory damages, declaratory relief establishing the plaintiffs’ alleged ownership of the copyrighted material, a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction to prevent further infringement succeeded by a permanent injunction, and a court order requiring the defendants to recall and destroy all infringing copies of the work.

At the time of this report, none of the defendants (which includes Cardi’s label home Atlantic Records and its parent company Warner Music Group) have issued a public statement on the matter.
