Bronny James Asked to Stay In the G League Till End of Season

Since the Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James as the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, he has been the subject of great attention. Now, LeBron James’ agent is urging the organization to leave the 20-year-old in the G League so he may grow without being pressured.

Some people wonder if he is prepared for the major leagues and if his success is mostly attributable to his well-known last name and the fact that he is the son of LeBron, who is considered by many to be the greatest basketball player of all time.

The young player’s NBA troubles, when he failed to leave much of an impression on more seasoned players, support that. Rich Paul offered his thoughts on the young player’s growth and urged the Lakers front management to allow him to mature away from the scrutiny of the major leagues as rumors circulate.

Paul stated on the Gil’s Arena Podcast that he sees Bronny’s immediate future in the G League. He said:

“In the G League absolutely,”

 “I represent Dejounte Murray.

“[He] played a full season in the G League and was the starting point guard in the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors. That’s development. I embrace the G League.”

Bronny has alternated between the Lakers’ main roster and the G League since being drafted, and his performance in each has been noticeably different.

Although he has performed admirably in the developmental league, his minutes with the Lakers have not yet produced comparable outcomes, raising questions about whether he is yet ready.
