Johnny Manziel’s mother, Michelle Manziel, has gotten herself arrested for driving while drunk (DWI). I mean, we all make mistakes, but come on, driving under the influence is just plain dangerous.

It’s a shame to see anyone get caught up in this kind of mess, especially someone related to a famous athlete like Johnny Manziel. He’s had his fair share of bad press too, so I can’t imagine how he must feel about this whole situation. Hopefully, it serves as a wake-up call for Michelle and will learn from this experience.

Manziel was arrested Saturday night in Kerrville, Texas … a town about 65 miles northwest of San Antonio.

Michelle was being held on $7,500 bail … though it appears that’s been paid and she’s been released from custody. We’ve reached out to local authorities for more information … so far, no word back.

The Manziels have lived in Kerrville for a quite some time … it’s actually the town where Johnny attended Tivy High School before he committed to Texas A&M, won a Heisman and eventually played 14 games in the NFL.

Drunk driving is no joke, folks. It does not only put the driver’s life at risk but also endangers innocent people on the road. So let this be a reminder to always think before you get behind the wheel after having a few drinks. It’s just not worth it.
