Breaking: tWitch, Longtime DJ on ‘Ellen,’ Dead at 40 After Suspected Suicide

In a breaking story, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, renowned for serving as the longtime DJ on the Ellen show, has tragically died aged 40.

Full story below…

According to TMZ, tWitch’s wife Allison Holker frantically contacted an LAPD station yesterday (December 13) reporting her husband missing – crucially noting that the star had left the house sans his car. A move that was uncharacteristic of him.

A while later, police received a call about a shooting at a Los Angeles hotel. Upon their arrival, they found the DJ/dancer dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The multihyphenate broke into showbiz on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ in 2008 and carved out an impressive career in the media, dance, and acting spheres (the latter of which included roles in the likes of ‘Step Up’ and ‘Magic Mike XXL’).

tWitch and Allison were married for 9 years and have three children together.

Update: A statement from Allison read:

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.

To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.

Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.
