From his on-and-off-again war with openly gay rapper-singer Lil Nas X to slamming ‘The Color Purple‘ for its same-sex romantic themes, saying the media is using cartoons to “turn kids gay,” and more, ‘Zoom‘ hitmaker Boosie Badazz is no stranger to zooming to the top of headlines over the years for his disparaging remarks about the LGBTQ+ community.
And if recent commentary the 41-year-old rendered on social media is indication, his stance on the topic won’t be changing any time soon.
Badazz left a bad taste in the mouths of many of the LGBTQ+ community’s members and allies again after taking to Instagram to clap back at rumors that his “fascination” with gays and lesbians is because he is a closeted homosexual.
“Anybody who speak up for straight people y’all say gay,” Boosie said to a commenter during a recent live showing (as seen above). “Athletes and rappers are scared to say they’re straight.”
In the fuller clip, the ‘Wipe Me Down’ performer believes he’s narrowed down why he’s “bullied” for his opinion about gay culture.
“Y’all can come under my live and call me whatever. You can call me that because you know I’m not that and I’m not cool with it being pushed on the kids,” he said. “So many of y’all be coming on my live calling me gay just because I don’t like d*ck.”
The controversial comments come as the latest in a string of like statements the rapper has made over the years that haven’t exactly been received well by the community.
