With just one more show to go, Beyonce is on the cusp of wrapping up her colossal ‘Renaissance World Tour.’
Since launching in May, the mammoth spectacle has dominated headlines, gone viral many times over, and re-cemented the diva as today’s defining performer. Not that there was ever any doubt.
Mounted in support of the chart-topping ‘Renaissance’ album, the trek has also made history by becoming the highest-grossing tour by a female artist ever.
As we prepare to say goodbye to a live show that many have deemed one of the greatest of all time, That Grape Juice has tallied 5 things we want to see next from Queen Bey.
Join us after the jump…
The Visuals
We’ve received the message loud and clear. Enjoy the music, because “you are the visual, baby.”
However…
Queen Bey has, by her own doing, established herself as the preeminent visual artist of her time. Indeed, from the ‘B’Day’ anthology to 2013’s ‘Beyonce’ to ‘Lemonade’ to ‘Black is King,’ she unquestionably carries the baton passed onto her by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, when it comes to “event-izing” her visual output.
As such, for as gagged as we’ve been by the tour, there is an arguable air of incomplete to the era at large with the absence of accompanying music videos. It’s time to remedy that.
Here at TGJ, we’re keen observers of the industry at large. Hence, we’d be more than welcoming of a streaming launch for the visuals or even perhaps the theatrical route recently embraced by the likes of Taylor Swift and Travis Scott.

Act 2?
One of the many mysteries that have trailed the ‘Renaissance’ era has been the whereabouts of the additional “Acts.”
Since its announcement, ‘Renaissance’ has long been referenced as “Act I.” A practice that has continued throughout the tour in everything from blurbs to official merchandise.
With Bey revealing the LP as chapter 1 of a “three-act” arc, it begs the question of what’s incoming.
Over the course of her legendary career, Mrs. Carter has avoided the album-a-year shenanigans that have led to fan fatigue amongst her peers, embraced a slow-bake approach, and led with innovation.
Tying her albums together (assuming the future Acts are indeed albums) stands to be her most “unique” roll-out to date. Letting each Act breathe in the way she has with ‘Renaissance’ (perhaps even with their own accompanying tours too) would add to that amazingly.
More than anything, the notion of another musical metamorphosis from Bey is tantalizing. We’re intrigued at the prospect of the much-murmured about Country-kissed record, the possibility of other musical genres, or even a return to the sonic landscape of Act I in a fresh way. Whatever the case, we’re…ready!

A Documentary
‘Scandal’ fans, remember B6-13? Well, they don’t have anything on The BeyHive. Case in point, eagle-eyed fans who have savvily noted the professional recordings of key dates of the ‘Renaissance World Tour.’ Specifically, the Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Houston shows. Thus sparking speculating about a possible documentary film ala ‘Homecoming’ and/or ‘Life Is But A Dream.’
On Bey’s ascend, behind-the-scenes looks were a constant – which in turn gifted us vital insights into the irrefutable time, effort, talent, and sacrifice she pours into her craft.
We’re thirsty for more of this. Both in relation to the album and the tour.
And with the likes of Destiny’s Child and Diana Ross notably attending the recorded shows, surely this a strong possibility that a doc of some sort is on the horizon. Surely?
*************
Additions To “Brand Beyonce”
Over the years, the Beyonce brand has been about much more than…music.
And all signs point to fresh additions to her empire being around the corner.
For, during this ‘Renaissance’ run, the diva has excitingly teased both a haircare line and a luxury parfum fragrance.
Central to Bey’s success is the notion of penetrating many mediums.
As such, we’re buzzed to see what she has up her sleeve and how she plans to continue impacting culture and commerce
*************
The Unexpected
Surprise, shock, and awe have been key components of Beyonce’s everything over the last decade.
Indeed, while it’s easy (and fun!) to idealize what she could do, a huge part of the mega-star’s present-day appeal is the element of the unexpected.
So, while we’re hoping for all of the above to come to fruition, we’re salivating at the prospect of her springing something totally unforeseen on us.
After all, it’s the Beyonce way.
