Azealia Banks Announces New Music for 2025…Then Slams “Closeted, Black Girl Wannabe” Zayn Malik & “C*m Dumpster C**n” Cardi B

Azealia Banks sent her dedicated fans into a frenzy in early October when she not only teased new music but declared she had “finally outdone” one of her most commercially successful singles to date: 2011’s ‘212.’

And while she spoke rather ambiguously about the forthcoming song at the time of her self-praise session, Banks took to X (formerly known as Twitter) before the month closed to confirm the new music is coming sooner that some may think.

It’s no trick; Azealia treated fans on Halloween with news her new single is set to drop in January 2025.

Giving them little time to celebrate the report, however, Banks – instead of providing extensive details about the song or its parent project – quickly turned her sights back to trashing a few longtime nemeses like Zayn Malik and Cardi B.

Longtime fans of Banks know she made global headlines in 2016 when she slammed the former One Direction star for allegedly copying her music video ideas for his hit ‘Like I Would.’

Although she later formally apologized for Malik for the homophobic and racist rant she launched against him at the time (which led to her being banned from Twitter), she recanted those once-“sincere words” this week.

“I f-cking lied [and] it was an extremely insincere apology. F*ck Zayn,” she said on Thursday (October 31). “Zayn will FOREVER be a black girl wannabe. First you’re jacking Azealia Banks, there here his is again with this PISS POOR remake of Sza’s Ctrl album cover. He needs to just come out of the f-cking closet. This n–ga is SUCH a pointless non-addition to the music world. He f-cking sucks.”

Wielding similar accusations of copying toward fellow rapstress Cardi B in 2019, Banks made headlines for once branding the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker “cheap and dirty.”

More recently, Azealia lent a fiery criticism against the GRAMMY winner for her stirring speech in support of Kamala Harris in Milwaukee on Friday (November 1).

“Yikes, that Cardi B-Harris speech was eye-gougingly cringe…Cardi has to stop doing that *stupid Latina* shtick she does cause it’s forced and not real,” the ‘212‘ rapper relayed. “One thing her and Nicki Minaj share is secret super intelligence masked by ridiculous chickenhead antics. They are both SUPER smart and well spoken but act r-tarded to seem relatable. They deserve each other’s friendship.”

That’s not all she said.

Specifically referencing parts of Cardi’s Harris-endorsing speech where she referred the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as “Donny Dump,” Azealia – over a series of tweets – hopped to Twitter to defend the latter (her seeming candidate of choice).

“Now if he claps back and calls her c-m dump dumpster butt Cardi will be mad,” she said before later labeling Cardi a “f*cking c**n.”

At the time of this report Zayn nor Cardi has responded to Banks.

The digs come just a week after Azealia’s headline-grabbing battle with Lil Nas X. Read more about that here.
